Production
There are three categories involved in production; Production, pre-production and post production. Production is the actual filming of a video. The video production company you're working with bring their crew, equipment, talent (actors) and all the necessary props out to the location and capture all the footage necessary. The production process refers to the stages required to complete a media product. The process can apply to any type of media production including film, video, television and audio recording. Pre- production is the work done on a product. Elements of video production such as the script, casting, location, equipment, crew and the shot list all happen during pre-production. Pre-production is the planning stage. Post-production is the work that is done on a film or recording after filming or recording has taken place. Post-production is the organising, cutting, colouring, special effects and editing the footage that has been captured in production. Post-production is where all the footage is constructed and the final touches, the elements that really make the video stand out, are added to the final product.

Marketing
Marketing is raising awareness and demand for the product for your audience. The objective of film marketing is to create 'visibility' for an individual film and engage interest in the audience. Different types of marketing are; print, film, radio, merchandise and the internet. There are different elements of a marketing campaign, which are 'word of mouth' - this is the social recommendation and this is the most effective trigger for cinema attendance and can give films 'legs' and a platform, so that the interest of the film remains high for weeks after release. Posters which is choosing an image to distil the essence of a film and trailers which is the most cost-effective form of promotion, normally shown prior to a film with the appropriate target audience, there are three different types of trailers which are; teaser trailer, full trailer and second full trailer and possibly even a third full trailer. Merchandising is another type of marketing this involves toys, soundtracks, and video games that are produced in order to attract a wider audience and catch individuals eyes to watch the film, this generates specific income in their own right. Depending on the genre and theme of a film, distributors will look to arrange promotion with third-party companies. Tie-ins generate display for films in shops, restaurants or on packaging that conventional advertising can reach.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a 2005 fantasy film directed by Mike Newell and distributed by Warner Brothers Pictures, based on J.K Rowling's 2000 novel of the same name. Produced by David Heyman and written by Steve Kloves. The film had various types of marketing used to attract audience members and raise awareness. For example; teaser poster which had a rear view of Harry against a bright light, as if he were walking into a cave, there were 4 character-centric posters created because the merchandising department demanded it, there was also a final theatrical poster which had all the three main characters front and centre.

Exhibition & Distribution
Exhibition is the retail branch of the film industry. It involves not the production or distribution of motion pictures, but their public screening, usually for paying customers in a site devoted to such screenings, the movie theatre. What the exhibitor sells is the experience of a film.
Distribution is the act and business of getting films to their audiences and sharing something out among a number of recipients and promoting content to online audiences in multiple media formats through various channels. The media distributors have the responsibility to create the market campaign for film producing posters, trailers, websites etc.
